ABOUT ME

Founding AI Full-Stack Engineer at CoGrader, building an AI grading and feedback platform that helps K-12 teachers grade a class set of essays in minutes instead of a weekend. I own features end to end across product, React, shared components, Node.js services, queue workers, LLM engines, Firestore, observability, and cloud infrastructure.

My standout contribution is the CoGrader browser extension: a product surface that puts CoGrader directly inside LMS grading screens and avoids months of bureaucratic partner integrations. It supports workflows across Canvas, Blackboard, Schoology, Brightspace, Microsoft Teams for Education, and Google Classroom, with Moodle import validation against a real customer sandbox.

I work on applied AI with Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, prompt engineering, evals, RAG, and MCP. I also care about the product edge of engineering: teacher-facing copy, error taxonomy, observability, cost tracking, and the distinction between recognized blockers and genuine system failures.

I use AI as leverage in my own engineering workflow. Claude Code, custom skills, routed agent context, and MCP servers connected to PostHog, Axiom, Slack, Azure, and GitHub help me investigate, implement, review, and communicate faster over live systems instead of guesses.

EXPERIENCES
Founding AI Full-Stack Engineer2025 – Present
CoGrader, Remote
As a founding engineer, I build CoGrader's AI grading and feedback platform, helping teachers grade a class set of essays in minutes instead of a weekend. It runs on LLMs (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic) over Google Cloud, backed by $250K+ in GCP credits. I own features end to end: grading and feedback pipelines, backend services, the web app, the browser extension, the data layer, and the infrastructure under it.
Standout contribution: built the browser extension that puts CoGrader directly inside Canvas, Blackboard, Schoology, Brightspace, Microsoft Teams for Education, and Google Classroom. Instead of waiting months on LMS partner integrations, teachers install it and CoGrader appears in the grading screen they already use. That removed a major funnel bottleneck, raised conversion, and opened schools and districts that would otherwise be blocked.
AI:

  • Google Classroom, EdLink, LMS and rostering workflows
  • File ingestion: PDF, DOCX, handwritten scans, audio, spreadsheets, ZIP
  • Teacher-facing error states, copy, and workflow reliability
Backend:
  • Node.js / Express
  • Python
  • Firestore / Firebase Admin
  • Redis and BullMQ queue workers
  • Stripe
Data, observability & infrastructure:
  • Google Cloud (GCP), Azure and AWS
  • Terraform and Docker
  • Render-to-Azure migration work
  • PostHog product analytics, feature flags and experiments
  • Axiom structured logging
  • BigQuery and Dataform
  • Cost tracking and product analytics
  • GitHub Actions, pnpm and Turborepo monorepo
How I work:
  • Fix causes, not symptoms: trace bugs to the mechanism instead of patching only the call site.
  • Treat observability as a product surface: recognized blockers should not look like infrastructure failures.
  • Use AI as leverage with routed agent context, custom skills, and MCP servers wired to live systems.
